Day 2 Zinebi and a visit to the Guggenheim and back again to my new favorite spot, Persuade and a visit with Rosa and Paolo

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Rosa from 'the' shop Persuade let me know that I was in El Correo today. It is the main newspaper in Bilbao.

Walking accross the bridge I saw these two men at work, looked like an art installation to me.
After breakfast I went to visit the Bilbao Guggenheim Museum. Before you even enter the museum you are greeted by the monumental Louise Bourgeois spider.

I walked through the Richard Serra structures on the ground floor, The Matter of Time, was glued to Joseph Beuys both his art and the two video's on and of him. Then there was Kiefer, Richter, a wonderful African exhibit. I was totally stimulated and inspired by it all and to think You Wear it Well is going to be screened here on Thursday night, I feel honored, to say the least.

Can you believe this beautiful dressing room at Persuade, it is flat and then when you go into change it pulls out like an accordian. I could live with this.

I left the museum and went back to my new favorite spot and a visit with Rosa and Paolo at their shop, Persuade. You know those Balenciaga boots that I've been dreaming about these past months? I tried them on at Persuade. They look beautiful but I was in so much pain I could not stand wearing them for one minute. Now I know that I really don't want them. I think that all designers of shoes should be forced to wear them for one month, in their size of course and to see how much they enjoy the S/M experience. Beauty without function is useless in my book.

Now for beauty and comfort. I had to try out the amazing gold chair and it feels as good as it looks and relaxing in Bless is nothing short of dream like. Notice those beautiful red antique Chinese sticks in my hair, a lovely gift today from Paolo.

Christian Astuguevieille designed the chair of my dreams

Rosa showed me her Sybilla archives and we spoke about how much we appreciated her in the 80's. Rosa met her when she was a teenager and already creatively on fire. Here are a few samples of her work in the 80's.

If I spend any more time with you I'll miss the films.
