Gustavo Lins at Galerie Joyce, Palais Royal
Dear Shaded Viewers,
Gustavo Lins had a lovely static presentation at Galerie Joyce. Everytime I look at a piece of Gustavo Lins I cannot help but imagine Lydia Kamitsis inside. I became familiar with Gustavo's work because often when I saw Lydia and asked her who she was wearing it was Gustavo Lins.
From the paper patterns on the wall to the sculpted mannequins we have no doubts that Gustavo Lins understands the fine art of construction.
When I feel the hand and spirit of the designer in their clothes I walk away with a smile. That is what I did tonight.

really,really moving,indeed.
that piece of which the sleeve looks as if it's been stained and wrapped with bits of leather strap--and the etching....marvelous! Everything is truly beautiful.
Thank you,Diane

Gustavo’s work unify fashion, painting and sculpture … His pieces travel into the mind. Fabrics, lines, drapes, hip curves mingle into movement.
Gustavo does not only sculpt fashion, he constructs human. The volume of human. Gustavo Lin portrays time.
Emotion and agony.
To sculpt time, that is fashion for Gustavo.
Thank you, your work is needed in today fashion.
