CUT-IT-OUT!

Dear Shaded Viewers,

A few weeks ago, Miguel and I made our modeling debut.  You can see the CUT-IT-OUT look book and website for the results.

Our friend Yelena Konovalova, who used to be the design director at Catherine Malandrino, has just launched her own line of printed t-shirts, dresses and pants.  Yelena grew up in St.Petersburg and the prints for the collection are inspired by Russian folk-art paper cut outs that Yelena cut out with her own hands.  As the line grows, Yelena plans to invite one designer/artists each season to create a limited edition cut out.

The energy around the project is amazing and uniquely Yelena and we had the pleasure of basking in it all day.  Plus the shoot was sooo much fun because Yelena got all of her closest friends to play model for the day.

The CUT-IT-OUT online store opens on October 10th.  Yelena will be in Paris for press and sales appointments from September 17th-22nd.  Soon we'll all be cutting it out!
