DANIEL WAKAHISA REPORTS FROM BUENOS AIRES FASHION WEEK — DAY 2

Dear Shaded Viewers,

As I write these notes in an anonymous coffee shop that could be anywhere in the world, I am reminded that Buenos Aires is the kind of city where there're no Starbucks — over there coffee still tastes real. How can Anna Wintour drink this every day I do not know...

La Recoleta Cemetery is a magic place. I haven't felt this sense of peace and tranquility ever since I left my mother's womb. If I ever decide to move to Buenos Aires I will apply for job there, as I am sure they could always do with a stylist.

Eva Perón's tomb — the most beautiful sight as she is never alone, and always remembered.

While on my way to La Rural, where BAF Week takes place, I came across the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo. The stunning Louis XVI building and the name Rodin were enough to convinced me to join the queue — not to mention the outrageous entrance fee of 2 pesos only.

Unfortunately both Cora and I were pressed for time, so we were unable to have a chat regarding her collection — my favorite so far. Her inspiration was the generation of new morphologies.

The evening continued with an invitation to attend a VOGUE party at the magnificent Alvear Palace.

How those five letters always manage to impress I also do not know.

Later,

Daniel
