SR.MARCELO HORACIO MAQUIEIRA REPORTS ON THE SILK SCARF COLLECTION.
Dear Shaded Viewers and Diane,
After landing in Paris from Tokyo, Julien David S/S09 Scarf Collection had the best welcome in the Old Continent. Retailers as Colette Paris and Ennu Amsterdam had already ordered the scarves made in the north of Japan by master silk-makers and printers, using the softest matte twills exclusively developed for the project.
The motives are pretty tricky; sometimes they look extremely graphic (something for Mr. Kanye West?) but others as a beautiful Hermes carré when they actually are not.
It seems Julien feeds himself from the metropolitan experience he has gone through in the last ten years. He believes in irreproachable materials quality combined with expert craftsmanship, and they need to serve contemporary matters and sub-cultures.
When a designer takes the effort to visit the best stores worldwide and presents the product himself, the story becomes fully attractive: chapeau Julien!
The collection is traveling for twenty-three days including cities as Brussels, London, Milan, NYC, Miami, Los Angeles and Taiwan.
