"Gareth came to pick me up and we had  a quick glass of Champagne, then hopped into a Hoxton Cars taxi but the car kept stalling, and by Clerkenwell Road, the driver mumbled something about calling a mechanic, then stopped the car, got out and opened the bonnet. There was a strong smell of gas, and Gareth said: "Get out Mandi, it's going to explode!", so we hot footed it to Farringdon Road, and called Roksanda to see if she had set off yet but she'd already reached The Strand. Then Henry called to say he was struck in traffic at Trafalgar Square. The British Fashion Awards start at 7h30 pm and none of us are there yet. So we hailed a black cab and were on our way, discussing whether we should have a cigarette outside when we get there, or is it going to be too late....
