The Elle Deco Suite by Maison Martin Margiela at the Cite de l'Architecture & Du Patrimoine
Dear Shaded Viewers,
After Christian Lacroix, the Cite de l'architecture & du patrimoine has asked Maison Martin Margiela to revive the former apartment of Jacques Carlu, the architect of the palais Chaillot in the 1930's.
MMM was given carte blanche for the interior work of the 220m2 apartment located opposite the Eiffel tower.
MMM's desire was to recreate the mood when the party is over and only the mess remains, let's call it disorder.
Signature to MMM are the mix of white, silver and trompe l'oeil, cotton covers and deconstruction.
The adjacent terrace is covered in white grass, the 'elephant foot' stools have await those who want to enjoy the view.
The suite is open to the public until October 2009, if you want to rent the space for a private event contact 01 58 51 1001/louerlassuite@acitechaillot.fr.
Later,
Diane
