Franco Jacassi Studio - Vintage Delirium
Franco Jacassi and Stefania Seoni at Franco Jacassi's Studio modeling vintage sunglasses for me
Dear Shaded Viewers,
The Studio of Franco Jacassi is the kind of treasure one always hopes to discover on their travels. Luckily, my friend Stefania Seoni, took me there today. Franco Jacassi took time out to show us floors of treasures from Vionnet, Balenciaga, Dior, Paco, Mugler, as well as men and women's collections, some I'd never heard of before and, accessories, he has the largest and most complete collection of buttons, trimmings, fabric prints, books, magazines, if you've dreamed about it, you just might find it here.

Moncler by Thom Brown
Dear Shaded Viewers,
Probably one of the most refreshing presentations in Milan had a swimming team doing endless laps in one of Milan's largest swimming pools while the models showed off the Gamme Bleu collection of luxury sports wear designed by Thom Brown. Looks included classic tailored pieces, trenches, cardigans, plaids, seersucker, madras, American staples accessorized with great sunglasses that merged goggles with aviators.
The new owners of Moncler were very happy as well they should be.

The L'Official Homme Italy launched their new magazine, out in September, at the Bulgari Hotel.

Today's highlight - afternoon dancing with the over 70's crowd
Dear Shaded Viewers,
While walking over to the amazing Franco Jacassi Studio, the vintage shop in Milan that is a must see, more on that later, we passed a church in the afternoon where everyone was enjoying dancing. I wish that I could have taken more photos or a video but they did not want to be photographed, hence only this one.

I am waiting for some photos of the collection as mine were less than stellar. Standouts in the collection included the embroideries and laser cutouts. a new skinny trouser shape with turned down waists inspired by surfers wet suits, t-shirts and moulded jackets.

Alexander McQueen presentation
Dear Shaded Viewers,
Tim Blanks at McQueen presentation, I always enjoy running into him and having a few laughs.
The collection felt like a day in the life of a painter. I had Beniamino Marini hold up this sweater because I thought it looked a bit like something he would wear.
After the show Beniamino and I went to dinner with our friend Franca Soncini.

Versace Homme
Dear Shaded Viewers,
I enjoyed my first Versace Homme collection inspired by the French Foreign Legion, think a modern day version of Gary Cooper, beautiful men in white tailored suits, djellabah's and tie dye and cyber space prints walking across a desert inspired catwalk.
Always nice to run into my friends.

Top: Shun from Vogue Homme Japan, Andreas from Jil Sander wearing the new Jil Sander glasses from the latest collection and Elissey from Citizen K Russia. We met in Moscow 3 years ago. He is supposed to be my Moscow correspondent but ....
