Halloween in NYC with Akiko Hamaoka

Dear Shaded Viewers,

 Akiko Hamaoka is  in NYC and today being Saturday,  she went to the Union Square Market with our friend Miguel Villalobos. Multi-talented Miguel can do anything including prepare beautiful healthy food. I'm missing his cooking because when I attempt to repeat one of his dishes it never comes  out the same, probably because he puts a lot more love into cooking than I do.

   

On route to the market Akiko ran into a very old cat that looked like he/she was dressed for Halloween, he moved so slowly that she could not resist documenting his journey. It's Akiko's first Halloween in the states. After the market she went to Miguel and Grahams for lunch.

A visit to the Eley Kishimoto showroom

I had never seen this photo till Mark Eley tagged it on facebook, love it. Mark must have taken it when   Miguel Villalobos and I visited his showroom earlier this month.

Shoe shopping in Riga at Madame Bonbon

Dear Shaded Viewers,

A super cozy way to go shoe shopping RIga. Madame Bonbon is located in an Art Nouveau apartment on Alberta Street, Riga's most fashionable district. Shoes are in the bedroom, on the tea table, in a suitcase and also in the powder room. While you are shopping your friends can watch classic Latvian films from the 1970's on a vintage black and white tv.
