Dear Shaded Viewers,

The S/S 2011 collection is based on four colors: White, Black, Gray and Orange. Each color represents a different social being. White is the color of Reason, Faith and Power. Black investigates Irrationality and Instinct. Gray is the color for Culture, Doubt , Relativism. Orange is the color of Action, Efficiency and Physical strength.

Not sure where this khaki coat fits into that color scheme but I like it anyway.

Tomek Kolarski

Dear Shaded Viewers,

This is the time of year when a massive number of shops post signs about their annual holiday back in business last week in August. It is empty in the 7eme but le Marais is packed. I ran into charming Tomek, PR for Maxime Simoens. Tomorrow he starts his 3 week holiday.

The inspiration behind Andrea Splisgar's new film for ASVOFF 3_Chapter 14

Rising

The film tells about the difference between originality and authenticity and the great inspiration and influence that boundary breaking history of film making (and makers) has on ones own art and evolution.

September 24th-26th ASVOFF 3 at  Centre Pompidou.

Vito Montedoro reports on web-tube in Milan

Dear Diane, dear shaded viewers

A few days ago, while I was walking in Porta Venezia subway in Milan, I saw some windows where the work of emerging artists were being shown.  "Tratti discontinui" company started these exhibitions in 2007. What is interesting to me is that it is placed in an underground space. so that the people walking by can transform their black tube into an art space.

Graphic Auteur EEM collaborates with Stockman on haute couture limited edition busts.

  EEM 2

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Paris based Emmanuel Bossuet is an art director who conceives his work with intense decorative dimension. In the beginning of his career he was a graphic consultant to Philip Stark. EEM was established as an agency aimed to one-of-a-kind projects. His clients include Martine Sitbon, Sonia Rykiel, Cartier, Lalique, Swarovski and Knoll where he was asked to express their immaterial heritage.

The stockmans above show how he likes to divert objects from their original function to arresting pieces. This year he collaborated with the mannequin masters STOCKMAN and produced a limited edition of "haute couture" busts.

A scene from “La Cagna”, by Marco Ferreri 1972, with Catherine Deneuve and Marcello Mastroianni

Dear Diane , Dear shaded viewers, this is the kind of film I like to watch in the summer.

DIrected by Marco Ferreri, Liza (Catherine Deneuve) is in a boat with friends , she is bored and doesn't know what she wants. She dives in the water and lands on an island where she finds  Giorgio (Marcello Mastroianni) an intellectual and an artist who decided to live in solitude with his dog Melampo.Giorgio takes care of Liza who  is confused and injured his  foot . They have a passionate encounter. Liza leaves because she knows that Girogio is  a loner and on top of that she  is jelaous of his dog Melampo..She wants to take the place of the dog in GIrogio's heart so she kills it. Liza then becomes the dog of Giorgio...

La cagna

I really love this movie and the handmade sunglasses! Enjoy summertime
