PARIS S/S12 - MEET & GREET SEOUL’S 10 SOUL AT SALLE DES MARECHAUX.
Dear Shaded Viewers and Diane,
Seoul’s 10 Soul is a South Korean movement of designers travelling worldwide exhibiting themselves at strategic fashion events. Last Wednesday evening, Paris Fashion Week held the 10 Soul event at rue de Rivoli’s Les Arts Décoratifs. Exhibiting two styles per designer, they created an artistic homogenous space. The general ambiance exuded the Asian refinement we instantly recognize, positively affecting each signature style and delivering the necessary international allure we sometimes miss. High-quality displays added a certain showroom-gallery mood, which showed their understanding of global markets, something difficult to conquer these days. While observing the garments the viewer was involved in interactive movements, with the garments accompanied by pleat inspired furniture with mirrored vertical stripes. The winner will be announced later this year at the event’s closing ceremony, with the support of Seoul’s Metropolitan Government; guiding the designer’s expansion. In collaboration with Tranoï Paris, the five women designers will commercialize their S/S12 collections. As South Korean’s do best, the catering and beverages where beyond delicious!

MUS spring 2012
Dear Shaded Viewers and Diane,
A MUS woman never stops. From 2010, when the luxury travel label was created, she follows her founder and inspiration, insatiable globetrotter Myriam Ullens de Schooten, from Beijing to Nepal through all her journeys, to collect and cherish those new feelings and techniques that will lead each new collection always a step ahead the previous. Véronique Leroy's flawless, experienced craftsmanship does the rest, cleverly mastering leathers and knits. Comfort, so indispensable in travelling, is their primary concern. But the condescending, obliging touch of luxurious fabrics, the sophisticated style of a refined palette, and the reliable structured cuts to perfectly shape the female body, will make the MUS muse feel confident, beautiful and at ease in any faraway foreign environment, and isn't this the highest form of comfort?
Later,
Silvia
