Dear Diane, Dear Shaded Viewers,

An invitation from the talented Ivan Talijancic, co-founder and co-artistic director of Wax Factory. I heard so many great things about Ivan and his work last fall from Haans Nicholas Mott, who collaborated with Wax Factory on this project. When I met Ivan at the Siki Im show in September, it was one of those BOOM moments that rolled into a non-stop conversation for an hour or more as though we were old friends. He has a truly brilliant point of view and an unlimited creative vision. A very, very short version of this work screened at A Shaded View On Fashion Film in Paris in October.  I encourage anyone in New York to step out and experience this.

Join us for a special in-progress screening of 416 MINUTES an extraordinary new cross-platform project currently in development as a feature-film and a live cinema installation/performance. Offering a rare glimpse into the company’s creative process and devised in collaboration with artists from Japan and Europe, this new work is inspired by the imagination of Haruki Murakami. 416 MINUTES shadows an actress whose escape from the film studio sets her on a trail of chance encounters during the hours of the night when things take on a particularly eerie glow.
