A TEASER OF THE TEASER

Dear Shadies and Shadettes,

While Diane has been representin' in NYC, I have been filming a few of the artists who will have exhibits during the 2008 edition of Hyères Fashion and Photography Festival, in order to make a teaser for the festival.

I went to visit Michel Carel, the sculptor who works with Felipe Oliveira Baptista on his exhibit, and Ludivine Caillard, an artist who will take over the Chambre de Monsieur et Madame in the villa with her installations.

Fresh off the  camera, here some picture which may or may not make it into the teaser film, codename "GALLOPING STALLION".

GALLOPING STALLION should be ready next week at the latest, and will be posted right here....

Hyères festival starts April 25th in the Villa Noailles, Hyères-les-Palmiers..

Today's jury for the 23rd edition of the festival d'Hyeres

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The jury in process. All looks were in the first selection of 70 designers. Winners will be notified by the festival probably over the next few days. THe images do not reflect the final selection.

Jean Pierre Blanc, the director of the Festival d'Hyeres and Riccardo Tischi, Creative Director at Givenchy and this year's president of the 23rd edition of the festival.

Wish I could tell you more but I cannot.

Pre-selection for the 23rd edition of the festival d'Hyeres

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The pre-selection for the 23rd edition of Hyeres festival of fashion and photography took place yesterday.

In fact I was too busy going through more than 220 dossiers to take many photos, but here are a few random entries. The pre selection was done by Maida, Haider Ackermann, Billy and myself.

Our system was 3 stars for the best. On the 24th of January we will make the final selection - out of over 220 dossiers, 70 were chosen for Paris. Every continent was represented for the first time in 23 years.

Near the end of our judging session we had a surprise visit by Jean Pierre Blanc's charming oldest son.

Hyeres 08 festival for fashion and photography - deadline 5 December

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The deadline is December 5th and the XXIII festival d'Hyeres takes place at the Villa Noailles 25-28 April.
