Open call for Hair Stylists for IQONS Magazine
Dear Iqonians,
As recently announced, IQONS will be launching IQONS Magazine in February 2008. We will feature Iqons such as Franca Sozzani, John Galliano, JC de Castelbajac and Iman in our premiere issue.
The issue will focus on bold, up and coming creative visionaries in an unexpected, breakthrough style. Central to this is a section featuring hair artistry that demonstrates these qualities, as selected by a leading international hair care company.
Only until December 17th , we will accept submission for what promises to be our largest and most prominently placed editorial section. We are looking for photos featuring strong, undeniably innovative hair creations.
This is an incredible opportunity to have your work showcased on an international stage through 30,000 publications which will be distributed at Fashion Week events in New York, London, Milan and Paris in Feb. 2008. There may also be further opportunities for hair artists which are still in development.
If you would like to participate, please submit your 300dpi (print quality) files with the subject line "Hair" to hairsubmissions@iqons.com. If you are not the photographer, please include the photographer name and/or agency and other appropriate credits for attribution. If you are the photographer, but not the stylist, please include stylist name and contact information.
Only the top hair artistry will make it to the center of our first issue, so submit your best and good luck.

A visit to Blends and Carlos Ortiz Hair
Dear Shaded Viewers,
Nacho picked me up today and took me to his friends two Blends shops. The front is all trainers and streetwear and in the back, behind the magic door, is a multibrand store. We had a nice chat about Paris fashion and LA fashion.

Blends 125 W. 4th St. #106, Los Angeles | (213) 626-6607

Literally across the street is a loft with an Intimate setting for Hair by Carlos Ortiz
Something about the jetlag from Paris to LA really gets to me. I was having a nice chat with my friend David Norbury when I suddenly fell asleep on the phone and believe me, David is never boring. He woke me up, I don't know how long after I had just dozed off and then from 3h till now I just cannot sleep. So since I was awake I decided to appreciate my beautiful roses that were a birthday gift from Rebecca at the The Standard. I like my view but with a total lack of sleep even though my bed is super comfortable and my bathtub a dream....this is how things are looking to me.

Amazing floral designer, Eric Buterbaugh of the 4 Seasons in LA. put together this bouquet of the most amazing red roses that I've ever seen and the Standard's marketing director, Rebecca Huetter offered them to me. I am loving them.

Diane

Welcome to my home
Hey ShadedViewers,
Remember, Leather is always great, and in Fashion, sometimes, you play against designers.
Thanx to my amazing crazy roommate Desi for these videos, and thanks to Brenda Dickinson, of course.
Take care
Yoann

Zilia - creator of hair sculptures and wigs.
Dear Shaded Viewers,
I met Zilia in probably the oddest way to date. I was trying to obtain a visa to Moscow and bumping into many problems. I finally sorted it out with Visa Express but in the meantime I met Zilia. A year has gone by since then and recently she contacted me and told me that she creates hair sculptures and wigs. Of course I was curious so I invited her to a cafe for a tea and to show me what she does. I especially liked the baloon head ornament.
